Serving students from beginning to advanced skill levels, Jazz Camp is open to players of all instruments (including violin, viola and cello), and to vocalists as well. Campers play with other young people while learning from a faculty composed of well-known professional jazz musicians and educators. The curriculum comprises jazz ensemble playing, master classes, private lessons and performances, as well as theory, musicianship and jazz history courses. In addition to daily class sessions and rehearsals, participants attend jam sessions and Stanford Jazz Festival evening concerts to enhance their training and experience.
