Conducted by the American Diabetes Association, Camp Carefree provides an educational environment in which campers learn to live with diabetes. Youth gain an understanding on how to balance exercise, diet and insulin while also developing a renewed sense of independence and confidence. Among the camp's recreational pursuits are field trips, hiking, overnight camp outs, arts and crafts, games, waterfront activities and camper/counselor shows.
